Dear Victoria
I first attended the Mercy Foundation Computer course on Tuesday 12 February 2015 having been sent their by the job Center.
Having limited knowledge of computers and not being connected to the internet at home I found it difficult to do something basic like accessing my emails from another computer .
During the eight and a half weeks that I have attended the computer course I have learned so much, it is hard to believe that some of the things I found difficult to do at the start of the course now seem so easy.
I would like to thank Victoria and her team for all the help, patience and support that they have given me to enable me to progress so far in such a short period of time. With their help, the things that I once found difficult to do at the start of the course now seen so easy.
I found the course very beneficial, it helped me and I am sure it will help others who attend the course. without your help and support I would not have known where to go with my job searching which has resulted in me attending an interview and finally getting a job.
Kind Regards
Roy. H. Branch

I have been attending the Mercy Foundation centre for almost a year now and my life has changed dramatically. The first time I come here was a couple weeks after coming out of prison when I was 17, I am now 18, in college doing a plumbing course at Carshalton college and currently looking for a part-time job.
The first day I come here I was doing counciling with Victoria she was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable at all times. Since the first time I come in here, I have not been in trouble with the police and Victoria has helped me every step of the way so I am very thankful to her.

I am pleased to write this letter as a testimony of how Mercy Foundation Centre has helped boost my confidence during my time of unemployment.
After graduating from University, I spent some time looking for a job to no avail. I was worn-out so much that, I had to think of a second option. This was to gain voluntary experience. MERCY FOUNDATION CENTRE offered me this option since I have been out of work for a couple of years.
Although I had gained some vital skills from University, I still felt that, something more was needed to be gained in the world of work (practically). I enrolled to do UK Online Course and also found out that the Manager at Mercy Foundation was a helpful, motivational and diligent person. Furthermore, I was offered realistic help with my CV at Mercy Foundation Centre. This really led me to different level of my job search, for instance my confidence improved, my people skills improved etc. That is knowing how to communicate with others and bring out the best out of them.
A few months after working as a volunteer, I applied for job at Richmond Council and was successful. I would strongly recommend that unemployed people grab this opportunity especially those who lived in the area of Battersea. I would also thank the Trustees at Mercy Foundation Centre for supporting me throughout this journey.

I have been attending the Mercy Foundation in Battersea for about 5 weeks now and have found the tuition by their staff very helpful indeed.
I have been fortunate to have got a probationary contract with a large retail company in a part-time position.
The I.T experience I have gained has been instrumental in giving me the confidence to search for work online and enables me to use computer facilities which I am able to use every Monday providing it does not clash with my working schedule.
If I have any problems then their staff are always available to give me the help that I require, and each visit is a learning curve for me.

After completed this course I am now looking for jobs in the catering and cashier field.

Hi Victoria,
I’m just emailing you to thank you for all your help and belief in me over the past few months.
I came to Mercy Foundation Centre for compulsory work experience as directed by my local job centre. What I found was a centre and you, a lady so selfless and dedicated to helping people and the community around her. I learned many skills during my time at Mercy Foundation Centre from basic administration to assisting the long term unemployed with IT skills and CV writing.
I believed in the work that you and Mercy Foundation Centre was carrying out and thus I continued volunteering here beyond my compulsory work experience term. Victoria, you, have been hugely inspirational and motivated me to never give up and to keep pursuing my goals and now I work with an International NGO. With your help and trust in me to undertake more work independently within the centre I have learned a huge deal and those skills and experience is and has been invaluable to me.
Once again, thank you very much,
Regards,
Sen.
